javirroyoZaragoza, 1972. Javirroyo was drawing in 1987 for the regional
economic press when he suffered a mutation in his brain which led him to
create characters such as Hipopótamo Flanson® (Kovalsky Fly fanzine),
El Justiciero de la Vespino Rossi (Lobotomía fanzine) and La Cebolla
Asesina (The Killer Onion) in Subterfuge. Manolo Roedor and La Mosca
Estúpida (Interviú), were born afterwards. At that time, he also created
humorous cartoons for the Sunday supplement El Semanal (Correo Group). In 2004, he took part together with Forges, Julio Rey (Gallego y Rey) and Juan José Millás of the team responsible for editing the humorous weekly El Virus Mutante, with a full page entitled “Alerta Virus”. It didn’t last long… He also collaborated for six years (2004 – 2010) with the Interviú magazine, illustrating weekly Juan Jose Millás’ articles, and the children’s magazine Micromadrid. He now collaborates with the CCOO Metal Workers Federation newspaper with Supertuerca (Supernut) and edits El Estafador. |
