KUKUU was founded in 2010 by architect Aija Priede-Sietina & designer Daneks Sietins. The couple lives and works in Riga. They have two girls –Lotte (6) and Sophie (3). The bird&berry collection evolved when they as parents observed how their children began to crawl, tried to stand up, and then took their first steps – the child gave a signal, as parents they understood it and later acted on it as professionals.

The award winning bird&berry collection has balance between the parents and child's understanding of aesthetics. It combines simple elegance with modern functionality. Sloped lines are a reminder that nature doesn’t think in straight lines thus evoking curiosity and imagination of little ones – to think outside the box and to promote the child to become in to an independent person.
